Sorry not to have had time to blog, sadly I have not been giving myself much free time. Currently am in need of highlights, manicure, pedicure and liposuction all of which unlikely to happen with current work load.
Leeds by train, not done this before, it was on friday great as I was sat next to a wine merchant from Edinburgh. Who entertained me all the way, they import a Champagne called Princess Galztine, grown on 15 acres in the Champagne region. It was the only champagne developed by russians and in 1900 won a gold medal. The story and name fascinated me, we discussed cheap wine, good wine, favourite wine I got off the train enlightened but desperate for the toilet. (The return journey on Saturday was not enlightening, football fans, children who kick the seat and a student with an IPOD you could hear in outer Mongolia.
I have never been to Leeds before, we grabbed a cab to Oulton Hall just outside, fantastic setting, lovely looking hotel, really nice staff but standards of food and housekeeping seriously lacking. I had some confidential calls to make and my room was not ready so spent over an hour in the disabled toilet that smelled revolting,ok you have a point I should have insisted on a room. Audiovisual- supplied us with karaoke microphone that gave the audience a migraine.
It is now only days until I fly to Cape Town to run a conference, I have planned the childcare in advance with Military precision! I am nervous over the minor elements of this one.
The Panto, well I have to thank the husband for all the taxi-ing of our actress diva to the rehearsals the show was fabulous. I am allowed to spout as proud parent, Flissy is gorgeous and stood out like a star.
I have a book reccommendation to all fellow bloggers, Belle de jour, loved it, it is though quite graphically rude in parts! These bits I particularly enjoyed as they were well written and funny.
Anyway must go to bed, I have a big day in the board room tomorrow, got my red Le perla knickers out in preparation.
Have a good week you all.
